Kinnear concern for crocked Viduka

Newcastle interim boss Joe Kinnear has revealed Mark Viduka could be forced to undergo a second operation on his troublesome Achilles injury.

Viduka: Could need another operation

The Australian striker has been sidelined since May with the problem and underwent surgery over the summer in a bid to resolve the matter.

But Kinnear has confirmed Viduka will travel to Australia for a second opinion, amid claims in Friday's press that he could be facing a further six months out if it is decided he needs another operation.

"We know there's a chance Mark will need surgery which isn't good news," said Kinnear in The Sun.

"He's had a scan but wants a second opinion - and so do our medical people - so he's gone to Australia to get one.

"We'll know more when he comes back so all we can do is wait."

"shhtun (Manchester United fan) - Why on earth do you 'feel' for Newcastle, it's yet another stupid mistake by them! He was finished when he came to the end of his contract with us! So they offer him 75k a week to sit in Greggs and you feel for them? It's there own fault and waste money year in year out, just look at there transfer record, it's the worst in the whole world by a long distance!"

"No doubt he'll have an extended holiday with his family and friends in Australia while he's there for his "second opinion"..."

"What a useless idiot... don't care how good he is, can't use him if he's always 'injured'. I feel for Newcastle... for sure he will be back 'fit' when his contract is about to expire. Just get rid of him!"
